Mountain Bike Action December 2006, The editor of MBA, Richard Cunningham, was a featured speaker at the 2006 Crossroads Bike Festival and wrote a full page editorial about his visit.  While at the festival, he helped us install the tiring on our 1885 Columbia Model Expert 52" ordinary and then took it for a spin.  In the same issue, we are also listed as a resource for vintage bikes in the "Ask RC column.


In March of 2007 a crew, from WSOC TV (Charlotte ABC affiliate), visited the shop and shot a short segment for the local news. 



Stumpjumper 25 years of Mountain Biking -Breakaway Books, commissioned by Specialized to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the Stumpjumper.  We contributed historical information to the author, Mark Riedy.


The Noblest Invention - Rodale Press, interesting book that covers many different aspects of cycling from the history of bikes through racing and advocacy.  We contributed 5 photographs of bikes and parts form the museum.


BIKE magazine: August 2006, nice full page article profiling the shop and the Crossroads Vintage Bike Festival.


WFAE (NPR) Charlotte Talks with Mike CollinsIn March 2003 we were invited to speak about the Wright Brothers and their bicycles for the centennial of the first flight.


Hearts in Atlantis: 2001 movie starring  Anthony Hopkins.  We provided props for a 1960s era bicycle shop including boxed merchandise, bicycles and period correct signage.


2007 Fisher product catalog:  As the Gary Fisher catalog was taking shape, a decision was made to include some historic bikes from the brands past.  Planet Propaganda, who designed the catalog, sent a photographer over from Raleigh to spend the day shooting some of our vintage Fisher bikes.  Check out the catalog and you should see some familiar "faces".


Gaston County Museum: We provided 5 bikes for their display of turn of the century technology. 


Southern Spring Home and Garden Show:  Provided bikes and parts to replicate the Wright Brothers bicycle shop.  The organizers built a replica of the shop and we stocked the insides and the air museum provided a full scale replica of the 02 glider to hang overhead to celebrate the centennial of the first flight.
