The Retrotec bikes combined modern materials with the classic styling of the 1950's bikes. They are very stylish without compromising performance. These were designed by Bob Seals in the early 1990's and are still being produced today by Curtis Inglis. The rims are by All Weather Sports who took 2 conventional rims, welded them together and ground out the center walls. The result is a single 44mm wide rim which allows tire pressures to be run in to the single digits (just remember to glue the tire to the rim to prevent tire rotation). Components are mostly Shimano XTR Deore XT front derailleur and large platform pedals. Other interesting components include the Hyperlite bars, Chris King headset, IRD composite fork and Ringle front/Hershey rear hubs.
Update: After talking to Curtis Inglis, this is probably a 1996+/- bike. The TIG welded head tube, Breezer drop outs and reinforcement around the seat tube slot were post-1994 additions.
