Neville Cork was
racing bikes in 1990 and decided to design and make his own bikes after
breaking three frames that year. He enrolled in a TIG welding
class and took that knowledge and moved to Vilas, NC to build frames.
He spend some time experimenting with different geometries with Rand
Perkins before settling on a somewhat unusual geometry. The bottom
brackets were at 12.5" and the frame were long and low. This frame
was considered a 16" frame and has an effective 24" top tube. The
larger frames had up to a 25.5" top tube.....long! Other than the
geometry, there isn't anything too unusual about the frames except a
small plate to help control the effects of chain suck. Not 100%
sure of the build year on this one so we tried to use a few of the
original parts to date the bike.
