Robert Reisinger had
been a test rider for the Kawasaki motorcycle racing team in the 1980's.
After his racing days were over, he went to work on designing mountain
bike which were obviously influenced by his throttle-twisting days.
The San Andreas came in one size and the top tube/seat angle could be
changed by using the adjustable seat-pod assembly. The suspension
consists of a stack of 3 elastomers which came in different durometer
ratings to change the stiffness of the shock. The claimed travel
was 2.5" which was fairly long travel in 1992. This bike features
a pretty conventional Shimano Deore XT build kit.
