The first Mountain Goat bikes all used the ovalized tubing which was made by Phil Wood by using wooden rollers and flattening a tandem boom tube. As more models were added, this model became known as the Deluxe. The idea was to make the tubing more shock absorbing which would lead to a more comfortable ride. The extra tube manipulation and fillet brazed construction made the Deluxe the most expensive model. The paint is Nouveau Flames over a brushed green base.
