    1986 Slingshot

This bike is not for sale. The bikes and parts we currently have for sale can be found on the MOMBAT for sale page.

1985 was the first year for the Slingshot mountain bikes.  The first year frames used a quad top tube arrangement but there were likely few of those made.  This 1986 is the oldest one we have seen in person and would be the second production year.  When this bike arrived, it was covered with white overspray and it took a couple of hours to slowly remove it from the paint.  Originally, I thought this was a repainted bike since the shock board was painted but we have been told this was the way they were done at the factory.  Parts highlights include front and rear Suntour Roller Cam brakes, I.R.D. seat post (stamped Winters, CA) and Magura brake levers.
