    1985 Fat Chance

Nice clean early Fat Chance bike.  My guess is that this was a later 1984 bike with early 1985 parts.  The serial number starts with a "4" whereas all the other 1984 Fats we have seen start with "84".  The components were introduced in lat 1984 for the upcoming 1985 model year.  The welds are nice and tight with a fillet brazed fork.  Typical Fat City features such as the small seat stay gusset, press in bottom bracket with locking collars, BMX sized seat post and "bullet" stays are all present on this bike.  Originally ordered by Claudia Nix, of Liberty Cycles, and we purchased it from the second owner, Cynthia Lewis.
