First year Cannondale mountain bike which used a 24" rear wheel and 26" front wheel. The rear BMX brake was relatively ineffective which reduced the off-road capability of these early bikes. This was really the beginning of the relative mass-production of aluminum mountain bikes which have come to dominate the market.
