    1983 Ross Force 1

This is the first mountain bike model offered by Ross.  These were the first cantilever brake bikes build in the Allentown, PA factory.  The name was later changed to Mt. Hood due to a trademark issue with the Force 1 name.  The Ross Indians were the first organized mountain bike racing team with full factory support.  Dropouts are stamped Chain Bike Corp.
