The Escape Goat was
an attempt at making a more entry level Mountain Goat.
The frames were TIG welded as opposed to the pricier fillet
brazing and the fork was an off-the-shelf part. The first
Escape Goat reference I have found is from July of 1982.
This bike has an 020282 serial number which should make it
the 2nd 20" frame in 1982. One interesting detail is
the seat tube junction which uses a short section of
ovalized tubing. Parts package includes the TA cranks,
MAFAC brakes and Suntour drive train.
